Exclaim IT – Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Senior Business and Systems Analyst About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business and Systems Analyst to support the delivery and enhancement of critical ICT systems. The successful candidate will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to analyse, document, and improve business processes, ensuring technology solutions meet operational and strategic objectives. This role also involves hands‑on system testing, troubleshooting, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure system readiness and high‑quality outcomes. It’s an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to complex and meaningful ICT initiatives. Key Responsibilities Analyse and document business processes and requirements, translating them into user stories and acceptance criteria. Develop and maintain a backlog of business requirements using tools such as Azure DevOps. Plan, develop, and execute UAT test plans and scripts, supporting business users during testing. Collaborate with business and technical owners to identify opportunities and drive improvements. Manage and mitigate risks relating to delivery quality and release schedules. Work within Agile delivery teams to ensure collaboration and project success. Engage with stakeholders to define current and future state business processes. Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in business analysis and system testing roles. Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency with Azure DevOps and bespoke .NET applications. Proven ability to develop and execute testing strategies in collaboration with delivery teams. Experience working in Agile environments. Australian citizenship and ability to obtain NV1 security clearance. Experience in large‑scale government or regulated programs with legislated timelines. Understanding of public sector ICT accountability and assurance frameworks. Knowledge of security and operational readiness requirements in government. Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline. Long‑term contract with potential extensions (up to 2029).
