Job Description Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position RPC Group of Companies is a global leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of glass reinforced composite (GRP) solutions. In addition, RPC manages the sustainment of ferrous and nonferrous Defence capability and specialist jobbing programmes. RPC has a distinguished 40-year heritage – dating back to the Trans eld Construction Group – delivering innovative engineering solutions to the infrastructure, water and wastewater, environment, transport, mining, architecture and defence sectors. Responsibilities Read blueprints and instructions, examine and understand surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary. Prepare work areas with scaffolding, covering fixtures, and other necessary preparations. Mix, match, apply paint to various surfaces, and complete touch‑ups. Understand and complete work to specifications, mix correct ratios of two‑part paint coatings, and properly manage consumables to avoid wastage. Select paints, varnishes and stains for surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers; use wet film thickness gauges to achieve specified dry film thickness, and carry out minor repairs as needed. Apply paints with attention to detail using different tools; work at heights and in confined spaces; erect scaffolding and ladders. Clean equipment and work areas and support team members to ensure projects are completed on time and in accordance with specifications. Qualifications Trade Certificate – Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent (for Blaster/Painters). High‑risk licence for EWP and/or Forklift. Trade qualifications in Protective Coatings (ACA, NACE, ICorr, or other trade certificates). HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift Driver's Licence (MR or HR class). Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Strong communication skills. Keen attention to detail. Self‑motivated, organized, punctual and reliable. Strong work ethic.
