About the role As a Site Engineer (Civil) for Brown Contractors, you’ll play a crucial role in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects across South East Queensland. This full‑time position is based in our Kingaroy office, with the opportunity for occasional remote work. You’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for overseeing all on‑site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. What you’ll be doing Supervising and coordinating construction activities on‑site, including earthworks, concrete works, and infrastructure installation. Monitoring and reporting on project progress, quality, and safety compliance. Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery. Providing technical advice and support to the construction team. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with relevant engineering standards, plans, and specifications. Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Reporting daily to the Project Manager. Maintaining an on‑site presence 5 days per week. What we’re looking for Degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Site Engineer in the civil construction industry. Experience with roads is essential and demonstrated experience in road construction projects is required. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications. Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and project management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders. Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and equipment. Proficiency in relevant software and technologies (e.g. AutoCAD, MS Office). A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to project sites as required. TMR (Transport and Main Roads) experience is strongly preferred. Australian work rights are required.
