About the Role We are seeking expressions of interest for RO2 Driver Under Instruction interested in joining our Rail Operations Team at Bowen Rail. As a Driver Under Instruction, you will perform rail operations, safely, efficiently, and professionally to exceed all stakeholder expectations in line with Bowen Rail Company Values. Our Rail Operations team is based at the Bowen Rail Provisioning Yard, 25 kms north of Bowen Queensland, working a 5:5 roster. Previous training experience in heavy haul operations is desirable. This role is a residentially located role which requires you to be based within a safe distance from the Bowen Rail Provisioning Yard. About You Demonstrates self-motivation and personal accountability, maintaining resilience and integrity particularly in a changing environment. Collaborates effectively with others and communicates clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats. Understands the scope and expectations of the role, and proactively delivers outcomes aligned with performance objectives and organisational goals. Be focused on delivering safe operations across the supply chain. Completion of all classroom components of Certificate IV in Train Driving (TLI 42622) Can produce Statement of Attainment / Course Completion Certificate for TLI units in Freight stream Current Australian Unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence Ability to Work to a 24/7 roster including nights, weekends and public holidays Ability to commute to Bowen Rail Sites Prior exposure to working within a safety critical environment Basic Knowledge of Rail Operations. Previous Experience in Heavy Haul Operations Previous experience with Electronically Controlled Pneumatic Braking Previous experience with Wired Distributed Power Previous experience operating within the Central Queensland Coal Network About Our Process At Bowen Rail Company, we are guided by our A.S.P.I.R.E. values and are committed to employing individuals who align with our values and meet the essential requirements of the role.
