Exploration Manager

Barto Gold is an Australian Gold explorer, developer, and producer who has been operating since 2009 and is focused on gold exploration and production in Western Australia. The operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, one underground mine, and two open pit mines. This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. We are seeking an experienced and driven Exploration Manager to lead our exploration strategy across a highly prospective gold portfolio. About the Role Reporting to the General Manager, the Exploration Manager will be responsible for developing and executing exploration programs that support resource definition, expansion, and new discovery. You will oversee all aspects of exploration planning, drilling programs, contractor management, compliance, and reporting. Key Responsibilities Lead, plan, and manage exploration activities across multiple sites Develop short-term and long-term exploration strategies Manage drilling programs, budgets, and contractor performance Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Oversee geological data collection, logging, QAQC, and modelling Mentor and provide technical leadership to geologists and field teams Prepare exploration updates, technical reports, budgets, and board presentations Drive continuous improvement and innovative exploration techniques About You Tertiary qualification in Geology, Geoscience, or related discipline Strong background in gold exploration, preferably in WA Proven experience leading exploration teams and managing exploration programs Competent in geological modelling software and data interpretation Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills A collaborative leader who enjoys building high-performing teams Strong commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence If you are ready to step up to the challenges of this role, it can lead to greater opportunities for career growth and progression.
