Join us to discover a purpose you can wrap your heart around Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations and create a safe, culturally responsive and therapeutic environment for young people with complex needs. You’ll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, leading and mentoring staff, and helping children and young people to develop essential life skills, stay engaged in education, and maintain meaningful connections with family, community, and support networks. Learn more about Life Without Barriers services for Children, Young People & Families here: Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain positive, trusting relationships with children and young people to encourage active engagement and interest. Be a visible and supportive leader in the home, providing reflective supervision and mentoring to staff to foster a collaborative team culture. Lead and manage the home in line with the CARE model, relevant legislation, service standards and LWB policies and procedures. Guide your team in applying Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) techniques when supporting children and young people. Oversee staff rostering to ensure this appropriately covers the needs of the children, young people and the home. Contribute to the intake and exit of children and young people entering the home, ensuring smooth transitions to permanent placements or step-down services. Complete and ensure documentation is recorded in a timely manner within LWB systems. Skills & Experience Hold a Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or similar) Demonstrated experience in residential services supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma and may display behaviours of concern. Proven ability to lead and supervise a team, embedding therapeutic care practices. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NSW Working with Children Check and NSW Residential Care Workers Register checks.
