Base pay range: A$ / yr - A$ / yr About the Role A .NET Engineer will be instrumental in developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure backend systems that power our financial services platforms. While Next.js expertise is not mandatory, familiarity with this technology is highly valued. This is a contract role for 6+ months with a potential for extension. Next.js and React are required. Key Responsibilities Backend Development: Design, implement, and maintain backend services using .NET Core and C#. API Development: Develop and manage RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between systems. System Integration: Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend services with user‑facing applications. Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize AWS services to deploy, monitor, and scale applications ensuring high availability and performance. Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams—UX/UI designers, product managers, and developers—to deliver high‑quality software solutions. Continuous Improvement: Participate in code reviews, adopt best practices, and engage in ongoing learning of emerging technologies. Qualifications / Skills Strong experience with .NET Core, C#, and building scalable web APIs. Proficiency in relational databases such as SQL Server and writing efficient SQL queries. Familiarity with Git and collaborative development environments. Experience working in Agile environments with tools like Jira and Confluence. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization. Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks.
