Maintenance Planner – Food Manufacturing Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to lead maintenance excellence within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This pivotal role blends strategic maintenance planning, inventory management, and procurement. You’ll play a key part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and upholding strict food safety and compliance standards. The Role As the Maintenance Planner, you’ll be the central point of coordination between production and maintenance teams. Your focus will be on planning, scheduling, and optimizing maintenance activities while effectively managing spare parts and vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all production equipment and facility systems. Ensure equipment uptime and reliability by coordinating maintenance activities to reduce disruptions. Oversee maintenance inventory, maintaining 95%+ accuracy and controlling costs. Source and procure parts and services, managing vendor performance and negotiations. Maintain accurate data and workflows using MEX Software and ERP systems. Ensure compliance with BSI, GMP, HACCP, BRC, and other food safety regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and outcomes. About You To be successful in this role, you’ll bring a strong mix of technical knowledge, planning expertise, and leadership skills within a regulated manufacturing environment. Essential Experience 3+ years in food manufacturing or another highly regulated industry. 2+ years maintenance planning and scheduling experience. Strong inventory management skills with ERP system experience. Hands‑on experience with CMMS systems (MEX Software preferred). Solid understanding of food safety standards such as HACCP, SQF, and BRC. Education Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Supply Chain Management, OR Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience. Technical Skills Proficiency with MEX Software and ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills for reporting and analysis. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
