What does a Professional Care Pharmacist do? As the Professional Care Pharmacist, you are ultimately responsible and accountable for being directly accessible to and proactively engaging with the patient. You will provide complete healthcare solutions to patients using over-the-counter recommendations, lifestyle advice, prescription medicines and referrals. What is required to be a Professional Care Pharmacist. Bachelor of Pharmacy Current General Registration as a Pharmacist AHPRA, is required (without conditions and undertakings) Retail Pharmacy industry experience You must have the right to live and work in Australia. Must be trained and committed to vaccinate Roles and Responsibilities The Professional Care Pharmacist works to facilitate the provision of great health care and service to our patients by ensuring that they are provided with the right medication and the best possible advice at every visit, with a major focus on ensuring that all patients are counselled on their medication at every opportunity. Provide and actively promote Pharmacy vaccination services Provide counselling and advice to patients for both their medicine (both prescribed and over-the-counter) and their medical conditions.
