We provide specialised welding services to and have long term projects with large mining organisations and have continued to expand our works over the last four years. We are an organisation that values the safety and wellbeing of our team members and are looking for an enthusiastic HSE Advisor to join our company and support our projects team in maintaining a safe workplace.About YouYou are inquisitive, proactive and have a willingness to learn. You are an advocate for safety, health and wellbeing and can influence others to be so as well.You have a qualification in HSE, and some experience in a site-based role. You are willing to work cooperatively with the Yurala management team to maintain a high standard of health and safety, and contributing to our goal of a zero harm work place.About the roleBased locally in Port Hedland, you will provide HSE support to our organisation and support our commitment to our site services projects on various mine sites in the Central Pilbara Region. Reporting operationally to the Yurala General Manager, you will be responsible for:Implementing, and continually improving Yurala HSEQ systemsPreparing and implementing plans and strategies to ensure a safe work environmentEnsuring effective consultation and communication with team membersIdentifying hazards and assessing and controlling risks in the workplaceUndertaking regular inspections, audits, and field safety leadership activitiesrecording and investigating injuries and equipment damage, and reporting safety performancecoordinating the return of injured worked into the workplaceSupporting the Site Supervisors and Superintendent with HSEQ and training of PPE and safe work mattersSupporting the site HSE team in Leading incident investigations and development of corrective actionsPromoting and supporting a positive approach to mental health and wellbeingEnsuring effective and timely reporting of incidents, hazards and HSEQ KPI’sHSE qualifications or currently studying HSE3-5 years of experience in a HSE rolePreferred criteriaOperational experienceMental health and physical first aid qualificationsYour application will include the following questions:
