Dental Assistant & Oral Health Therapist – Orthodontic Team (NOR) Locations: Clarkson & Kingsley, WA Position Type: Part-Time, Permanent About Us Oasis Orthodontics is a well-established, friendly orthodontic practice with locations in Clarkson and Kingsley. Due to growth, we are expanding our team and are seeking both a Dental Assistant and an Oral Health Therapist to join our orthodontic practice. Role 1: Dental Assistant The Role: We are seeking a professional and reliable Dental Assistant to work closely with our Orthodontist and Oral Health Therapist across our Clarkson and Kingsley practices. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the clinic and delivering high‑quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: Assisting the Orthodontist and Oral Health Therapist with clinical procedures, including braces fittings, adjustments, and removals Working in the lab, including making retainers Taking photographs and intra‑oral scanning Preparing and sterilising dental instruments and equipment whilst maintaining exceptionally high infection control standards Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring all treatments are documented properly Supporting patients throughout their visit, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed Managing patient appointments and coordinating treatment plans with the team Keeping the clinic environment clean, organised, and well‑stocked Assisting with administrative tasks such as stock management and ordering supplies Contributing to the overall smooth operation of the practice and supporting team goals The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience as a dental assistant (preferably in orthodontics, but not essential) Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy in patient records, stock control, and sterilisation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care Ability to work well both independently and as part of a small, supportive team Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment A proactive, can‑do attitude with a commitment to learning and development Role 2: Oral Health Therapist – Orthodontic Practice The Role: We are seeking a motivated and patient‑focused Oral Health Therapist to support our Orthodontist and clinical team across our Clarkson and Kingsley locations. This role focuses on preventative care, patient education, and supporting orthodontic treatment outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Providing oral health therapy orthodontic services within scope, including oral health education Monitoring and supporting oral health throughout orthodontic treatment Working collaboratively with the Orthodontist and Dental Assistants to optimise patient outcomes Taking photographs and intra‑oral scans Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation Delivering exceptional, patient‑centred care in a friendly environment The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Oral Health Therapist with current AHPRA registration Strong clinical and communication skills Passion for Orthodontics and patient education Orthodontic experience is advantageous but not essential Ability to work collaboratively within a small team Why Join Us?
