Position requirements: Only applicants who have the basic teaching swimming qualification from AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia or Royal Life Saving will be considered. In NSW A Working With Children (WWC) number and National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC) is essential. In QLD Working With Children (Blue Card) and National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (Yellow Card) is essential. A willingness to help children with a disability reach their potential. Revesby Rainbow ClubSaturdays 2.30pm to 6.00pm Sylvania Rainbow ClubSaturdays 12.30pm to 4.30pm As a Rainbow Club Lead Teacher, with a few extra hours each week, you have a unique opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of children with a disability. In addition to helping children with a disability learn to swim, a Lead Teacher plays a pivotal role at each Club by ensuring the Club operates smoothly. Reporting to the local Rainbow Club volunteer Committee, the Lead Teacher supervises other swim teachers employed at the Club, welcomes and assesses children’s ability when they join and as they progress through our unique Swim the Rainbow program. The Lead Teacher is also responsible for all safety matters around the pool and is paid an above award rate of $46.73 per hour. Rainbow Club is seeking qualified and dedicated Swim Teachers and Lead Teachers to deliver our unique Swim the Rainbow program on weekends during school terms . Rainbow Club is a network of social swimming clubs for children with a disability located throughout NSW, ACT, QLD and VIC. At Rainbow Club, we believe that learning to swim is a right for all children. Our lessons are personalised for children with a disability aged 3+. Train to Teach Train to Teach is our two-day intensive training and safety program available for family and friends of Rainbow Club members or teachers.
