Overview Our client, Swift Transport Pty Ltd, are the new modern specialized market leader in Local Metropolitan Couriers and Taxi Truck Transport, Container Cartage & Storage as well as Warehousing solutions. As a Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, your main responsibility will be to ensure that all vehicles are maintained, safe to drive, and roadworthy. Responsibilities The position will include duties such as but not limited to : Carry out all vehicle inspections Ability to diagnose and action mechanical faults Liaise with managers on any issues that need attention regarding safety Undertake mechanical repairs Manage service / maintenance Maintain service records to a high standard Qualifications To be considered for this position you must possess the following skills, attributes and qualifications : At least 3 years’ experience in similar role With relevant trade qualification Strong ability to document, record and track servicing and maintenance of all vehicles Accredited to perform Pink Slip & Brown Slip inspections. A knowledge and experience with Forklifts is an advantage but not a necessity Ability to demonstrate a commitment to OH&S / WHS policies, procedures and regulations.
