Transport Compliance and Pallet Controller We are searching for a Committed, Loyal, Hard Working person with a Can do Attitude who's not afraid to step in or step up to help out where required if and when it's needed. We need you to be an intricate part of the business. We are a medium sized company on the rise and have been in the industry for over 5 years, which means the successful applicant will need to be hands on working across various areas of business operations and supporting the team to help with the future growth of the business. We are seeking a driven individual to fill our combined role of Compliance Officer Pallet Controller role and then some. Core focus will be to ensure the compliance of our clients' and the company's driving group is in adherence to the Chain of Responsibilities, State and Federal Laws which include Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVN) and Mass Management requirements. Comprehensive experience is of vital importance in this role, but if you have this knowledge within the Transport Industry it will be an advantage. A minimum of 5+ years of transport compliance experience is required for this position. We are looking for someone who has great communication skills, excellent grammar with a team work and can do attitude will be viewed favourably. Must have a high understanding of MS Office Suite and general computer literacy required. Responsibilities (Compliance) Assist with preparation of audit documentation Advise on required changes to internal compliance policies and procedures Ensuring that the sites comply with State & Federal legislation and regulatory standards Assist in interpreting Business Standards & Legislative requirements Develop, Identify and deliver programs to improve compliance. Provide management updates on performance against targets/plans Ensure the company's policies and procedures are always up to date. Responsibilities (Pallet Control) Daily reconciliation of pallet movements and paperwork Daily entries of pallets in to the Chep 2IC Experience with CHEP 2IC system is preferred for effective pallet management. Ensuring the accurate transferring of Pallets to avoid unnecessary charges to the company. Ensuring all paperwork and dockets are received from the drivers in a timely manner. Key Skills & Attributes Required Extensive knowledge and understanding across safety and road transport compliance Understand Policy and Procedures record keeping Strong computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office Experience in System Auditing and Technology will be highly regarded Extensive knowledge in System auditing and technology Understand the importance of correct record keeping for both Compliance and Pallets Monitoring the importance of raising NON Conforming behavioural issues of staff for Compliance and Pallets with management.
