The position of Clinical Specialist, Electrophysiology (EP), provides field/remote clinical, technical & educational support in EP to assigned accounts across ANZ. The primary focus is to support the new therapy introduction of Pulsed Field Ablation through our recent launch of the FARAPULSE™ system, demonstrating clinical expertise to influence superior outcomes. Frequent travel will be required as part of the role. WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR? Utilise your technical knowledge of electrophysiology, biophysics of radiofrequency, cryo‑thermal ablation, and 2D/3D electroanatomical mapping principles to provide clinical support, including basic troubleshooting and guidance to diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias. Conduct measurement of electrical circuits within the heart and perform stimulation protocols per physician requests to assess conductivity and aid in arrhythmia diagnosis. Develop a deep technical understanding and deliver technical training of company products to Cardiac Electrophysiologists, Cardiac Physiologists, and Nurses. Travel as required to meet customer demand for the services described. Attend cases face‑to‑face or remotely with customers, operating Boston Scientific products where appropriate, and provide detailed training/advice to physicians on clinical attributes and techniques associated with Boston Scientific electrophysiology products. Build a deep understanding of hospital workflows and relationships to ensure products are trained and utilized in accordance with Directions for Use. Ensure timely collection and reporting of all required medical documentation related to our procedural devices. Respond to complex customer needs and product/service complaints by developing creative, feasible solutions or collaborating with sales, clinical, research, marketing, and technical support teams. Record customer information and activities in the company’s CRM system to align with other commercial roles. Complete relevant administration, including reporting, stock validations, and inventory management. Attend meetings, conferences, and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services. Be available to support the broader ANZ Rhythm Management business on an as‑needs basis. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS Product/Technical Knowledge A thorough understanding of Cardiac Electrophysiology. Biophysics of radiofrequency and cryoablation. A thorough understanding of Pulsed Field Ablation (Pulsed Direct Current) on cardiac tissue and tissue selectivity. Successfully completes all relevant training. Develop in‑depth knowledge of electrophysiology procedures, products, and treatment applications. Proactively keep up to date with technical knowledge in electrophysiology. Maintains a flexible approach to meet goals. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous clinical case experience within electrophysiology/rhythm management essential. Strong technical and clinical skills. Proven experience in building and maintaining customer relationships. Proven ability to absorb complex technical information and apply this knowledge in the field. Tertiary qualifications in preferred disciplines including biomedical engineering and science‑related disciplines. Exposure and understanding of conventional EP. Ability to interpret EP signals. Exposure to 3D Mapping and cryoablation. Troubleshooting skills and experience. Desired qualifications: IBHRE EP, IBHRE Pacing.
