Requirements for this role: Flexible hours available 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role About us Double Shot is a busy, quality-focused full-service café-restaurant in Deakin with high-volume breakfast and lunch service. We care about fresh produce, speed, and consistency, with a friendly, inclusive team culture. The role Prepare and cook café breakfast/brunch and lunch dishes to spec during peak service Oversee mise en place, ordering, stock rotation and waste minimisation Maintain food safety, hygiene and WHS standards (incl. temperature logs and allergen protocols) Assist with menu updates/seasonal specials and portion/presentation standards Train and supervise kitchen staff; contribute to rosters and service coordination Skills & experience required 3+ years’ recent experience as a Chef (or Cook at equivalent level) in a high-volume café/restaurant Proven line-cook speed/accuracy and knowledge of breakfast/brunch service Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) preferred, or substantial relevant experience Understanding of food safety standards and allergen/dietary requirements Strong communication, time management and teamwork skills Availability for early starts, weekends and public holidays as rostered What we offer Competitive base salary plus superannuation Staff meals and uniforms Training and growth in a supportive team #J-18808-Ljbffr
