IBISWorld’s analysts research across Australian industries, gathering and thinking critically about data to write industry-specific reports.At IBISWorld, we believe in investing in our team and supporting our colleagues in our pursuit of excellence. We will work with you to develop and hone your skills as you progress in your role, building a skill set that will benefit you throughout your career. You may also have opportunities for media exposure while you build a portfolio of industry reports.You will be provided with on-the-job training when you first join IBISWorld, and be supported by your colleagues to help you learn about our product and your role.Reporting to the Industry Manager, you will be responsible for:Collecting, interpreting and analysing macroeconomic, demographic and industry-specific data to identify and clearly communicate key business trendsLong-term forecasting based on existing industry dataUpdating high-quality industry reports within specified deadlines and in accordance with in-house editorial and quality standardsQualitative research, keeping up-to-date with key macroeconomic and industry trendsPerforming client presentationsContributing to product development initiativesGiving interviews to journalists about your assigned industries as requiredAny other duties as assigned by Industry Manager or Team LeadersAs a successful candidate, you will have:An undergraduate degree in economics, commerce, business or a related fieldExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to analyse and forecast economic data, demonstrated through either previous work experience or university studiesFamiliarity with online research techniquesA solid grasp of economics, financial terms and business conceptsA strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamExperience writing business research articles, reports or other key documents for a business audience is a strong advantageA strong interest in keeping up-to-date with economic news and current eventsConfidence to liaise with the media regarding current industry trendsIntermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and WordIf you think you are the ideal candidate for this position, please apply online by submitting your resume and a brief cover letter explaining how your skills and experience align with this role.
