Our client is a global leader in manufacturing and gas handling solutions across sectors including power generation, oil and gas, waste water, metals, mining, infrastructure and transport. Due to growth we are seeking an Electrical and Instrument Engineer to join their team.

Within this role you will support the Engineering team with site related work predominantly on mine sites including tenders, design, installation, testing and commissioning of projects on customer sites nationally.

The Role

Responsible for on time and on budget delivery of site installationsSource and manage site installation crewCoordinate activities with site supervisor and supervisors of other disciplines on site e.g. mechanical contractors, civil contractors etc.Liaise with clients site representatives and develop/maintain good relationshipTroubleshooting and hands on fault finding as requiredInspection and testing of equipmentDevelop testing, commissioning, isolation, energisation on other project related proceduresProvide assessment of existing EC&I installationsPrepare and review RFQs for site installation work and material for projectsCost reduction for EC&I site installations by managing the site contractors and their activitiesSupport the EC&I team at delivering tenders on time and projects on time and budget.

What We’re Looking For

Qualified electrician with valid supervisory certificateQualified in health and safety requirements for site workCertified to sign-off non hazardous installationsQualified as hazardous area electrician (favourable)Certified to sign-off hazardous installations (favourable)Knowledge of MV, LV, control & instrumentation installationsKnowledge of hazardous area installationsAble to use various testing equipment.Excellent understanding of Isolating and energisation proceduresGood understanding of MV, LV, control and instrumentation equipmentGood Experience in EC&I mining installation surface and undergroundGood experience in testing and fault findingGood experience in installation crew managementExcellent experience in Health and Safety related issues and activities on siteComputer literate (Word and Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)Good verbal and written communication skillsSome drafting skills with AutoCADExperience in developing and reviewing RFQsExcellent knowledge on the relevant EC&I installation relater Australian standards for non hazardous and hazardous areaKnowledge of using PLC program during commissioning (advantageous)Ability to juggle multiple project tasks
