Landholder Engagement Advisor Location: Perth or Wheatbelt (preferably Central or Northern Wheatbelt)Employment Type: full timeSpecial conditions: based from home, but with frequent travel to remote areas of the WA Wheatbelt About the Role Our client is delivering a project to achieve sustainable land use in rural WA, with the goal of establishing carbon farming and carbon credit opportunities for local landowners and ultimately contributing to Australia’s transition to the use of renewable energy. We are seeking a Landholder Engagement Advisor to join their team. The successful candidate will focus on fostering strong relationships with landowners and local representatives across the Wheatbelt, supporting carbon farming initiatives and sustainable land management practices. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain positive relationships with landholders, local governments, Aboriginal enterprises, and industry stakeholders. Promote carbon sequestration practices and educate communities on environmental and economic benefits. Organise workshops, field days, and engagement sessions to raise awareness and encourage participation. Navigate complex stakeholder relationships and negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes. Support on‑ground activities related to carbon farming, including tree planting and biodiversity enhancement. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company safety standards. Experience requirements Significant demonstrable experience in the WA agriculture sector with strong networks in State and Local Government. Proven stakeholder management experience at senior levels. Demonstrated experience in farming systems. Sound knowledge of carbon farming methodologies under the CFI Act. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and media). Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to varied responsibilities. Tertiary qualifications in Agriculture Science, Communications, Engineering, or Environment (desirable).
