The Role Exciting opportunities have become available at Cardinal Contractors. We are looking for a HD Fitter for a 5:2 roster local to Collie or surrounding areas for our Collie workshop. Responsibilities You will utilise a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery, equipment and vehicles to operational standards. You will identify defective and worn mechanical components or equipment, repair or replace any worn or faulty components or equipment, and use precision measuring instruments to check parts for accuracy and fit. Qualifications We require candidates with the following: A minimum of 5 years' experience post completion of an HD Mechanic Apprenticeship Completion of a Heavy Duty (HD) Mechanic Apprenticeship Adherence to accident and reporting procedures A valid HR licence Sound knowledge of Komatsu, CAT, Isuzu, Volvo, John Deere, Hitachi Heavy Plant Machinery, trailers & floats Sound knowledge of Mack & Kenworth Triple Road Trains Dedication to maintaining high safety standards within the workshop White card Team‑oriented mindset and effective communication skills Pass a pre‑employment medical and drug and alcohol screening Good knowledge and practical application of workplace Occupational Health & Safety Hold a current National Police Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months) Preferred Experience Electronics and air conditioning Experience in use of and operating heavy duty machinery Application If you believe your qualifications align with the requirements outlined above, we encourage you to submit your CV through SEEK.
