Queensland Treasury's vision is a strong economy for all Queenslanders, and our purpose is to drive government priorities through expert advice and services. As a central agency, we are committed to growing the Queensland economy and creating jobs in line with the Government's economic priorities and strategy. The Office of Social Impact (OSI) is at the forefront of delivering the Queensland Government's social impact agenda. Working closely with the philanthropic, forpurpose, and social impact sectors, OSI is developing a sector roadmap for social enterprises and impact investors and overseeing the design and establishment of the groundbreaking $80 million Social Entrepreneurs Fund. As the Director (SO), Office of Social Impact, Investment Delivery, you will support the Assistant Under Treasurer to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to develop and deliver investment products through the $20 million per annum Social Entrepreneurs Fund. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful difference by combining your expertise in investment delivery with your passion for social impact. In this role, you will: Lead OSI's investment delivery function to develop and deliver investment products that focus on achieving outcomes for marginalised Queenslanders. Provide strategic policy and implementation advice to key decision-makers regarding the government's impact investing roadmap and investment products. Build and manage effective relationships across government and nongovernment stakeholders to foster collaboration and identify investment opportunities for shared impact. Represent Treasury in commercial negotiations with internal and external stakeholders to secure investment opportunities that align with the Queensland Government's social impact agenda. What experience you will bring: Proven ability to develop and deliver investment products relevant to a public sector or impact investment context. Strong influencing and negotiation skills to drive investment outcomes aligned with the government's social impact agenda. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and/or multifaceted projects under pressure and during periods of change while maintaining team cohesion, probity and delivering results. Exceptional leadership skills in governance and risk management, including guiding investment structuring and decision-making processes. There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in financing or investment transactions would be highly regarded. How to apply: Your resume detailing relevant experience. A cover letter of no more than two pages outlining why you are interested in this position and how your knowledge, skills and experience makes you a strong candidate for the role. Queensland Treasury is committed to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve and treating all applicants equitably. This starts with recruitment, including making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process. We welcome applicants to share with the hiring manager any health condition, disability, and/or cultural or linguistic background, so that we may make any necessary adjustments to enable you to equitably participate in the recruitment process.
