About the Role As Casual Event Waitstaff, your primary responsibility will be to provide outstanding customer service to all event guests. You will execute the appropriate sequence of service with precision, working collaboratively with management and colleagues to uphold Deckhouse's reputation for high‑quality service. This is a hands‑on role requiring presence on the floor to engage directly with guests and contribute to a memorable dining experience. About the Company Deckhouse is a premier waterfront venue located in picturesque Woolwich, known for its stunning views and high‑quality dining. We are part of the esteemed Dedes Waterfront Group, committed to excellence in food, beverage, and service across all our establishments. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining Deckhouse's high standards for all guests. Execute the full sequence of service accurately, professionally, and in a friendly manner. Work collaboratively with the management, floor, bar, and kitchen teams to enhance service delivery. Ensure the venue is perfectly prepared before each service and follow all pack‑down procedures diligently. Adhere strictly to a high level of safety in the workplace, compliant with the WHS Act 2013. Assist in motivating colleagues and ensure adherence to the Company's code of conduct. Perform various job‑related duties as assigned by management. Requirements A current NSW RSA certificate is essential. Availability to work evenings, weekends and special events on a rotating roster. Demonstrated understanding of excellent service and a genuine passion for the hospitality industry. Strong communication and cooperation skills to work effectively with all teams. Good food and wine knowledge is highly valued. Adherence to Dedes Group values: Excellence, Traditional Values, Respect, Integrity, Trust, Honesty, and Pride. Knowledge of Ideal POS software is beneficial; familiarity with Respak Reservations software is a plus, but not compulsory. Driving ability is preferred. Generous dining discounts across the group.
