Are you a skilled Remote Area Nurse (RAN) (RN) seeking your next travel contract? Locum Remote Area Nurse, job ref: Location: Northern Territory Salary: $75 to $100 per hour DOE plus super, plus accommodation and travel support A little about the role Aussie Locums are seeking experienced Remote Area Nurses for locum positions for a variety of Primary Health Care contract positions in communities across the Northern Territory. Contract durations are flexible, ranging from 4 to 12 weeks. Make a meaningful impact by delivering essential primary healthcare services to remote communities. Responsibilities include Delivering comprehensive, evidence-based, and culturally sensitive primary healthcare to individuals, families, and communities. Promoting community health through educational initiatives. Administering immunizations as part of service delivery. Participating in an on-call roster to provide 24/7 emergency care to the community. Demonstrating the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Minimum Requirements Current unrestricted AHPRA Minimum 5 years’ experience as a RAN or in ED or remote primary care REC (Remote Emergency Cert) MEC (Maternity Emergency Cert) Pharmacotherapeutics Cert or RIPRN qualification desirable Immuniser provider certification On-call experience Manual Driver licence & 4WD Cert Advanced Life support (ALS) BLS (Annually) Must be ISTAT competent, certified and have access number Essential Mandatory Training Aseptic technique : theory and practical assessment Medication safety competencies – all modules Blood safe – collecting blood specimens Manual Handling Fire and Emergency Procedures Infection Control and Hand Hygiene Aggression Minimisation Recognition and management of clinical deterioration After Hours Assessment and Communication for PHC Nurses and AHPs Early Sepsis Recognition and Management (via RAHC eLearning) Cultural security and safety relevant to the Northern Territory Benefits $75 to $100 per hour plus super Cultural enrichment Work life balance, choose where and when you work Accommodation and travel support Personal and professional growth Access to incentives such as Referral Bonus and welcome pack Weekly payroll 24/7 support from Aussie Locums team with a dedicated consultant and experienced administrative / compliance team To apply for this position, please forward your resume or call us today.
