Hoozoom MR Pty Ltd, along with the other four associated businesses, forms a well‑known group of independently owned and operated motels in Queensland. The group runs a total of 6 motels, covering famous beaches and scenic spots such as Labrador and Mermaid on the Gold Coast suburb. The subject property is one of our comfortable budget complexes located adjacent to the beautiful Broadwater and close to all amenities, steps away from the beach, parks, restaurants, bottle shop, convenience store and transport. There is a large swimming pool with BBQ and entertainment area, secure undercover parking, guests’ laundry and a Tour Desk. It sits on the main road and is convenient for bus travel to all theme parks and shopping centres. It is 100 metres from the Broadwater in Labrador, 5 minutes’ drive from Main Beach, and 10 minutes’ drive from Surfers Paradise. Gold Coast Airport is a 40‑minute drive away. The central location means guests are just 20 minutes to any of the Coast’s major tourist attractions. Hospitality Group Duty & Venue Manager Position: Permanent Full Time Hours of Work: Shift and schedule Salary Package: AUD83,000+ super / per year Requirements Above Diploma qualification in media or hospitality management is a must; Minimum of five years full‑time relevant work experience as a Hospitality Group Duty & Venue Manager; Minimum of five years experience in a management role and hands‑on experience in customer service or sales; Fluent in oral English and Mandarin or Japanese, able to work in a bilingual fast‑paced environment; Solid understanding of hospitality procedures and best practices; Excellent organisational and leadership skills; Outstanding communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills; Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner and exhibit good judgment; Roles and Responsibilities Oversee daily venue operations, ensuring smooth service and an exceptional guest experience; Lead, motivate and manage front‑of‑house staff, including rostering, training and performance management; Maintain compliance with health & safety and relevant legislation; Coordinate functions, events and special activities in collaboration with other departments; Monitor financial performance including budgets, cost control and revenue targets; Ensure the venue is clean, well‑presented and operates to the highest standards at all times; Build strong relationships with members, guests, suppliers and the local community; Drive a people‑first culture across the group, ensuring consistency in standards, compliance and guest experience; Evaluate current processes for Hoozoom MR Pty Ltd functions including enquiries, bookings and follow‑up; streamline procedures in consultation with the General Manager; Supervise security arrangements, garden and property maintenance across the six motel venues, especially public areas; Formulate group promotion and advertising strategy, implement policy or strategy at each stage and period; Stay familiar with market trends and customers’ preferences; Ensure motel credit and cashiering policies and procedures are adhered to for all in‑house guests and monitored daily; Direct and oversee reservation, reception, room service and housekeeping activities; Establish challenging, realistic and obtainable goals to guide operation and performance; Utilise interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others; advocate sound financial business decisions; demonstrate honesty and integrity; lead by example.
