Overview Want to be part of something meaningful while staying dry? Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is seeking Volunteer Radio Operators to support our patrol teams at clubs across the state. You\'ll play a key role in keeping beaches safe by managing communications, logging activity, and supporting patrol operations all from the safety of the shore. Responsibilities Operate radios to maintain clear communication between patrol members Log incidents and patrol activities Assist with monitoring beach conditions and coordinating responses Provide a calm and reliable presence in the patrol team What\u2019s great about this role No water work required — perfect if you prefer to stay on the sand Full training provided — no prior experience necessary Flexible commitment — just 25 hours per season Great for all ages and abilities Make a real impact in your local community Who we\u2019re looking for Reliable and calm under pressure Good verbal communication skills Comfortable using radios or willing to learn A team player aged 15+ There\u2019s a role for everyone in lifesaving.
