Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 - Child and Family Health - Temp FT Employment Type: Temporary Full Time, 38 hours per week until 30.Jun.2028 Location: Bankstown Community Health Centre Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Remuneration: $2,235.40 - $2,308.80 per week Requisition ID: REQ Application Close Date: 30/11/2025 Interview Date Range: 03/12/2025 - 10/12/2025 Contact Details: Rebecca Bedding - | About The Opportunity The Equity Team Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) Child & Family Health will be responsible for delivering complex specialist nursing care and leading development of specialist clinical practice in relation to health screening, assessment, and an advisory service to families with children aged 0 to 5 years, who have experienced substance use, disability and other vulnerabilities in pregnancy and/or parenting. The aim of the Equity Model is to pilot a continuity of care stacked interventions service model to reduce inequities and improve health and development outcomes of families from priority population groups. What You'll Be Doing The CNS2 is an advanced practice clinician and has a leadership role in service delivery to provide effective quality care for clients with complex care needs, infant feeding, developmental assessment, facilitation of groups and promote practice development and quality initiatives that enhance best practice. Where You'll Be Working SWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney. These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations, offering specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities. With over 800 dedicated staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, the service ensures high-quality care close to where people live. Current Nursing registration National Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA), and relevant postgraduate qualifications related to the specialty area of Child and Family Health, with at least 3 years recent clinical experience working with children and their families or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate. Demonstrated understanding of and experience providing evidence-based health promotion, assessment, prevention and early intervention services to children and their families, particularly those experiencing vulnerabilities. Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development of clinical management plans in consultation with health and social services. Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision-making, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and within an interagency context to provide high quality integrated care to children and families. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
