Right now, we’re looking for a Second In Charge Educator for our Albion Park Fun Club, and OSHC service located in Albion Park Fun Club. What makes this service special is the dedicated, homely space the service has within the school. We have a strong connection with families, children and community and utmost focus on inclusion of all children. This is a permanent opportunity to work during Before and After School Care as well as Vacation Care, Monday to Friday (30 hours per week). We treasure the expertise of our educators As Second In Charge you will be providing quality care and education to school-aged children while incorporating your ideas and expertise to create a fun-filled environment. You will have the ability to create respectful and long-lasting relationships with parents and carers, as well as your fellow educators. You will have the chance to incorporate your own ideas and experiences into the programmed activities yourself and the Director will create for the children. As the Second in Charge at Albion Park Fun Club, you will be responsible for ensuring the service complies with Big Fat Smile policies and procedures and all components of the National Quality Framework and Child Protection Legislation while working closely with your Director. What you need to succeed A cleared valid for paid work, Working With Children Check (WWCC) Diploma of Children's Services or related qualification (desirable) Experience as a support worker, SLSO, OOSH Educator/2IC, or engagement with school aged children Outstanding skills in communication with families and the community Demonstrated commitment to work health and safety Have a strong understanding and experience in the implementation of educational programs and leadership within the centre as the Educational Leader There are lots of reasons why a role with us is rewarding You will feel supported by a Total Well-being Platform that gives you access to self‑assessments, articles, toolkits, podcasts, perks and savings, and other resources.
