Shawnee Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for Shawnee Health Carbondale Medical, Same Day and Behavioral Health Clinics. This position reports directly to the Chief Director of Nursing. Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Chief Director of Nursing, you are responsible for maintaining the efficient functioning of the nursing team at your assigned location(s). Responsible for directing, supervising and evaluating RNs, LPNs, CMAs, and Medical Assistant Apprentices in the clinic setting in all aspects of patient care. Guiding, planning and directing clinic activities with ongoing assessment of the quality and efficiency of these activities. Coordinating schedules for nursing staff assigned to the area of responsibility. Maintaining effective utilization of manpower, equipment and supplies. Assuming all administrative responsibilities of assigned location(s). Supervising the overall nursing care performance, maintaining quality patient care and providing staff assessments with written evaluations at designated intervals. Coordinate nursing efforts to ensure that effective, efficient patient care is being provided and that quality standards and measures are met. Oversees immunization program, including vaccine ordering process, proper storage and handling, inventory management and compliance with state and other requirements. Demonstrates ability in critical thinking, conflict management, motivation and mentoring. Demonstrates a positive and effective working relationship with the entire health care team. Investigates, attempts to resolve and reports complaints and identified risks. Responsible for staff development and includes supporting learning for students, apprentices and new hires. Execute nursing interventions by collaborating with the interprofessional team incorporating appropriate standards of care and practice and patient outcomes. Qualifications Requires current RN licensure. At least 3 years of clinical practice experience Minimum of 2 years of previous management experience. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date. #J-18808-Ljbffr
