Our Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner - Apparel, to join our high-performing and collaborative team, based in our Cremorne head office. As a commercially minded and driven individual, you will play a vital role in the team, enabling the department and your category to achieve set sales plans and overall gross profit. As a natural leader, you will mentor and guide your team in a manner that inspires and delivers innovative and strategic solutions. Reporting to the Planning Manager and partnering closely with our Buying team, your ability to build key relationships as well as effectively influence and solve problems will play an important part in your day-to-day and support your success in this fast-paced and hands-on role. Key Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with Buying to develop detailed buying plans develop growth strategies Review range to ensure brand strategies and financial goals are being met Oversee the planning and re-forecasting of key items and volume lines OTB Management, continually identify & develop opportunities for achieving financial objectives Conduct weekly SWOT and PSAs Lead and mentor your team, providing regular coaching and feedback Review channel stock levels; store sales and allocations with Planning Assistants Liaise with internal & external teams as required Skills & Experience: Fashion or relevant tertiary qualifications desirable Leadership and management skills with previous experience leading a Planning team Allocation experience within retail - Apparel or accessories ideal Advanced MS Excel skills Demonstrated experience in reporting and analysis Business outcomes and solutions focused Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong relationship building and stakeholder management capability Why work for Sportsgirl?
