Stralis Energy is an electrical engineering company that specialises in large scale solar projects as well as underground and overhead HV distribution. We’re looking for a qualified Mechanic/Diesel Fitter to join our team onsite at our solar farm project located between Dubbo and Wellington. This is a casual position offering a 40‑hour work week, with an hourly rate dependent on experience. Starting January 2026, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for a fresh start for the new year and keen to take ownership of maintaining a busy fleet. About the Role In this role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of our diverse fleet, which includes: Light vehicles such as utes and ATVs Heavy plant and machinery including cranes, telehandlers and generators You’ll oversee the mechanical upkeep of equipment and ensure all fleet assets are well‑maintained and operational. Key Responsibilities Repair, assemble, and service light and heavy vehicles, machinery, and mechanical components Inspect machines, engines, and transmissions and conduct diagnostic tests Carry out mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance Maintain accurate service records and reports Manage day‑to‑day fleet maintenance schedules and requirements About You Trade qualified Mechanic or Diesel Fitter Proven experience maintaining a variety of plant, machinery and equipment Ability to diagnose faults and work autonomously Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Experience with fleet management and maintenance systems Must have a valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record (HR licence highly desirable) Must have White Card Hold permanent and unrestricted work rights in Australia What We Offer 40‑hour work week Hourly rate negotiable based on experience Opportunity to work on a major solar energy project Supportive team environment within a well‑known and reputable company in the renewable energy sector If you’re an experienced mechanic looking to join the renewable energy industry, we’d love to hear from you.
