Requirements for this role Flexible hours available 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year Karma Café and Fitness is a busy, health-focused café located in Darwin. We are looking for an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. This role is offered at 38 hours per week, with all rights and entitlements under the Fair Work Act. About the Role You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality café meals, with a focus on fresh, nutritious, fitness-friendly cuisine. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment. Key Duties & Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook a wide range of café dishes Maintain consistency, portion control, and food presentation standards Develop new menu items and seasonal specials Manage food preparation schedules and workflow to ensure smooth service Oversee stock control, ordering, and inventory management Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe kitchen environment in line with NT and Australian food safety standards Monitor food costs and minimise wastage Train and supervise kitchen staff as neededEnsure compliance with all workplace health and safety requirements Skills, Experience & Qualifications (Essential) To meet the requirements for this position, applicants must have: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) At least 2 years of full-time experience as a Chef or Cook in a commercial kitchen Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks Ability to work both independently and within a small team Strong communication and time management skills Employment Conditions Full-time, 38 hours per week Salary: $70,000–$75,000 per year + superannuation (based on experience)All entitlements provided in accordance with the Fair Work Act and relevant modern award Weekend and public holiday shifts may be required Opportunities for growth within our expanding business #J-18808-Ljbffr
