Automation Engineer Location: Brisbane Duration: 12-month contract (possible extension) Role Overview This is an exciting opportunity for an Automation Engineer to design and deliver intelligent automation solutions that streamline manual and repetitive business processes. You’ll work on large-scale transformation initiatives that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across HR, Payroll, ICT, and Data functions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, develop solutions using platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Python scripting, and APIs, and ensure high-quality delivery across complex enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities Identify and document business processes suitable for automation Design, build, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions using UiPath, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Python, and related tools Collaborate with business units, data teams, and integration specialists to map and optimise workflows Develop reusable automation components and maintain dashboards for performance monitoring Ensure automations meet government security and data handling standards Automate document generation, data reconciliation, system notifications, and approvals across SAP and non-SAP environments Support testing, documentation, and version control for all automation deliverables Contribute to capability uplift by sharing knowledge and supporting best practice adoption About You You’re a hands-on automation specialist who loves solving inefficiencies through smart, scalable technology. You enjoy collaborating across teams and can move comfortably between technical problem-solving and business discussions.
