Cosmetic Dental Design has an opportunity for a qualified dental technician to join and become our acrylic department manager. This position has become available due to the growth and expansion of our business, with our existing manager staying on within Cosmetic Dental Design to assist with the growth of our all on x and dental prosthetic divisions. We are a well established laboratory that has been operating for 20 years and have built a reputation for high quality craftsmanship and service to our clients. Situated on the Gold Coast, we offer a full service dental laboratory consisting of Acrylic and Crown and Bridge departments, as well as an onsite Dental Prostethtist. We are a sophisticated and well equipped dental laboratory that spares no expense in the endeavor to create the highest quality of work. The position is for a technician with a minimum of 5 years experience, preferrably with management experience, although this isn't essential. As the manager of the department, you would be required to communicate with clients, assist our existing technicians with technical questions and concerns, and be able to work with our adminsitration to allocate work to the team. This is a role where you would be hands on, and still required to act as a technician to complete laborartory work in conjunction with managing. The acrylic department is a mix of traditional and CADCAM based restorations. No prior Cad experience is required, but would be beneficial as you would have the opportunity design chromes, splints and auxillary products on 3Shape/Exocad. Our acrylic department is our smallest of our business with an existing team of 4. The acrylic team are assited by a dedicated plaster room technician, and multiple production technicians who process the digital cases through the printers and milling machines. Sponsorship for International Staff will be considered for the right applicant. Since we are a full service laboratory, there a lot of combination cases between our departments. Our laboratory has a large focus on implant based restorations, so knowledge in locator dentures and all on X is desirable, but also not essential. This is a growing business and would be a great opportunity for a technician willing to test themselves in the latest techniques and technology. This is a full-time position.
