This position forms part of our Mental Health Support Work team that specialise in supporting people with psychosocial disability inside the NDIS, mostly 1:1 mental health supports, with opportunity to also engage in our day trips, retreats and group activities. Our teams Our Mental Health Support Work (MHSW) team provides 1:1 or group assistance, utilising their experience to give trauma‑informed mental health support to our participants. Our peer support work team (PSW) operates similarly but utilising their lived experience as a crucial part of their role. Please note that for the outreach component of your role, you will need to use your own vehicle. Travel reimbursements for this are paid on top of your remuneration. Key Responsibilities Service delivery and development Empower participants with therapeutic supports involving 1:1 mental health support, and support participants to gain/maintain independent living skills such as budgeting, cooking, etc. Working collaboratively with participants and the wider care team to identify their needs, set goals and develop a plan to meet those goals. Administration Record case notes as required. Completing reports, risk assessments and other forms. Participate in professional development where needed, including supervision with your Team Leader. Actively work to improve identified skill areas. Mandatory requirements A qualification specific to mental health, minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health or Community Services, AOD, peer support or other mental health‑related course (please note that disability, aged care, PCA, individual support and similar qualifications do not meet this requirement). An NDIS Worker screening check (undertaken prior to commencement). Current Working with Children Check. Australian Working Rights including evidence of COVID‑19 vaccination. Current Australian Driver's license and vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
