Experienced sonographer in specialised women's imaging ATHENA SPECIALIST ULTRASOUND UNIT TRUST – Wollongong NSW About Us: Athena Specialist Ultrasound is a privately owned and operated diagnostic obstetrics and gynaecological ultrasound practice. We are proud of delivering unique and high‑standard ultrasound services using the state‑of‑the‑art facilities, including the Voluson Expert 20 and Viewpoint 6. We are the first specialised women’s imaging practice in the region to provide pre‑eclampsia screening, comprehensive prenatal testing – including CVS and amniocentesis, deep infiltrating endometriosis and Mirena insertion/removal under ultrasound guidance. If you are an experienced Sonographer looking for a new challenge or a place to further develop your skills and experience in O&G, this is a unique opportunity to join a vibrant, supportive and energetic team. Key Responsibilities: Perform a variety of routine obstetrical, gynaecological and 3D ultrasound assessments and assist in prenatal and gynaecological procedures, including CVS, Amniocentesis, HyCoSy, Sonohysterogram and deep infiltrating endometriosis. Maintain a high level of professionalism and care in delivering exceptional service to patients with diverse needs. Work collaboratively with sub‑specialist COGU’s (O&G Specialist / Sonologist). Provide high‑quality imaging services in a busy practice environment. Participate in ongoing professional development and demonstrate a keen interest in upskilling. A COGU on site for support (O&G Specialist / Sonologist). Great work life balance. 8 am‑4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Work in a dynamic, fun and supportive team. Skills & Experience: Experienced in women's specialised imaging for 5+ years. Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent patient care. Strong analytical, judgment, and decision‑making skills. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Proven competence and experience in ultrasound imaging. Qualifications: Accreditation with the Australasian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR). Accreditation with NT license: Nasal bone and uterine artery Doppler.
