The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for placing purchase orders for parts and large systems with suppliers and overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the supply chain process, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics. This role plays a critical part in supporting the Service Delivery Team (Engineers and Technicians) by ensuring timely procurement and despatch activities, availability of parts and specialized equipment. The role is an important bridge between the Sales team, logistics, service and our customers, ensuring a smooth ordering and installation process. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in using Salesforce to manage supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities Negotiate future contracts and maintain strong relationships with vendors and distributors. Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies. Manage internal staff that have purchasing functions. Inventory & Stock Management Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability. Implement and maintain inventory control systems and processes. Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies. Manage internal staff that contribute to inventory & stock management. Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including freight forwarding and customs clearance. Manage the internal logistics team. Ensure timely delivery of equipment and parts to support service operations. Support to Service Delivery Team Collaborate closely with Engineers and Technicians to understand equipment needs and service schedules. Ensure availability of parts and tools required for maintenance and installations. Use Salesforce to manage purchase orders, procurement workflows, inventory tracking, and supplier communications. Generate reports and dashboards to monitor supply chain performance. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in a technical or scientific equipment environment. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supply chain management is required. Strong understanding of procurement, inventory control, and logistics. Proficiency in Salesforce is essential. Intermediate level Salesforce experience is required for this position. Contract negotiation skills, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field is an added bonus, although not essential.
