Senior Software Engineer - AI project Location: Melbourne | Contract: Long-term (12+ months) Are you passionate about building next-generation digital experiences? This is a rare opportunity to work on a full architecture rebuild leveraging Generative AI, RAG pipelines, and Agentic AI frameworks to deliver smarter, more intuitive solutions for thousands of users. As a Senior Software Engineer , you’ll provide technical leadership and hands‑on development expertise, working with a modern tech stack and best‑practice engineering principles. You’ll collaborate with product owners, analysts, and a talented development team in an Agile environment to deliver high‑quality, scalable applications. Apply best‑practice coding standards, testing, and CI/CD automation. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver well‑engineered, user‑focused solutions. Mentor team members and contribute to technical decision‑making. Stay ahead of emerging technologies and drive innovation. Essential Skills Advanced experience in TypeScript/Node.js and/or Python . Strong knowledge of React/Next.js , PostgreSQL , and Redis . Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) . Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices. Experience with DevOps tools : IaC (Terraform), containerisation (Docker), CI/CD pipelines. Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills. Highly Desirable Experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI development (e.g., RAG pipelines, context engineering). Knowledge of microservices architecture and scalable design patterns.
