Your Opportunity The Workplace Advisor (Electrotechnology) is a key member of the broader TAFE Queensland SkillsTech (the Region) ElectroTechnology team and is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of training progression for Region ElectroTechnology students, contributing to the achievement of high‑quality learning outcomes for students and a ‘best practice’ approach to client service, and supporting students and employers ‘on the job’ with a view to ensuring all aspects of their training, assessment and future learning requirements are met. This position reports to the relevant Business Manager, is a Permanent, Part‑time (0.6) opportunity, and will be based primarily at Eagle Farm with possible work at other TAFE Queensland campuses. Responsibilities Ensuring the efficient and effective management of training progression for Region ElectroTechnology students. Contributing to the achievement of high‑quality learning outcomes for students and a “best practice” approach to client service. Supporting students and employers ‘on the job’ with the goal of meeting all training, assessment and future learning requirements. Contribute to the success of the organisation through promoting and modelling SkillsTech’s core values and Agreed Behaviours and the established TAFE Queensland values of Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility, Showing Initiative, and Safety First. Maintain a working knowledge of current training package requirements and relevant VET legislation, regulations and guidelines to provide timely advice to employers, apprentices and other key stakeholders. Provide employers with advice regarding Region training programmes, innovative learning solutions and identify additional learning opportunities to enhance the personal and professional growth of their apprentices. Coordinate student access to learning programmes and appropriate assessment processes and records, ensuring all aspects of the training programme are satisfactorily achieved within budget and in a timely manner. Manage the training contract completion process, including tracking upcoming completions and related records management, ensuring apprentices complete within the nominal completion date while identifying concerns and proposing workable solutions. Monitor eProfiling activities and maintain thorough records of client industry placement needs, training and assessment programmes provided and associated reporting documentation to ensure compliance with statutory obligations. Cultivate and maintain effective and mutually beneficial working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, proactively engaging with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and identifying potential business opportunities. Utilise a variety of software applications and student management systems to perform administrative functions throughout the apprentice training lifecycle, maintaining student records and relevant training plan/contract documentation. Contribute to continuous improvement through active participation in the development and review of business processes, documentation and practices related to Electrotechnology training and student management. Proactively participate in local Performance Planning and Development (PPD) processes, seeking opportunities for self‑development and contributing to the development of the Electrotechnology team. How You Will Be Assessed Demonstrated commitment to self‑development, focusing on maintaining skills and knowledge in contemporary vocational training, learning and assessment practices, and the use of educational technologies and learning management systems. Ability to communicate effectively, developing rapport and maintaining positive and collaborative working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to identify and create innovative solutions in a flexible and client‑orientated training market. Demonstrated communication and problem‑solving skills, working effectively under pressure, prioritising tasks, and delivering successful outcomes within specified timeframes. Proficiency in the use of a range of computerised systems and applications relevant to the administrative management of the apprentice/trainee lifecycle, generating reports, correspondence and compiling accurate and meaningful data to provide advice to stakeholders. Highly Desirable Requirements Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent. Trade/Post‑trade qualifications are highly desirable. How To Apply A detailed resume.
