Regulatory Service Officer – NSW Department of Customer Service Pay Range This role is within the NSW Department of Customer Service salary band. The base salary for the position is $84,659.00 to $92,701.00 per year (Clerk Grade 3/4) plus superannuation. Role Title : Regulatory Service Officer Business unit/Organisation : Investigation and Enforcement Term : Ongoing Clerk Grade 3/4 salary starting from $84,659 to $92,701 + Super About the team The Investigations and Enforcement Directorate provides frontline advisory, triage and response functions, leading investigative and enforcement activities for critical workplace health and safety incidents. The Directorate also manages the High‑Risk Workplace and Repeat Offender Program and coordinates SafeWork’s Enforceable Undertakings function. It builds and maintains critical partnerships with other regulators, and communicates WHS regulatory outcomes and lessons learned to industry and the community. Ideal candidate We are looking for a motivated Regulatory Service Officer capable of working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced regulatory environment. The successful candidate will support the Investigations and Enforcement Directorate through a broad range of tasks, including: Providing high level administrative support to Investigating Inspectors, including collating and reviewing investigation briefs and evidence. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring policies, procedures, confidentiality and privacy requirements are met. Scheduling meetings, managing calendars, preparing agendas and taking accurate minutes. Assisting Inspectors and Managers with portfolios of work, including preparing PowerPoint presentations. Performing data entry and reporting. Researching and preparing analysis reports. To be successful in this role, you will: Have experience in providing a variety of administrative support services with competing priorities and be capable of working independently without direction. Have advanced time‑management skills and an exceptional ability to prioritise work activities and requests for information in a high‑volume environment. Work in a team collaboratively and share information to achieve business outcomes. Demonstrate the ability to plan and prioritise outcomes and respond flexibly to changing circumstances. Achieve results through the efficient use of resources and a commitment to quality outcomes. Keep up to date with relevant legislation, policies and procedures to provide accurate and efficient levels of support. Demonstrate a commitment to customer service. Have a high level of skills across Microsoft applications. Have excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, and the ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality and a proven high level of attention to detail.
