About the Role Join Squadron Energy as a Project Engineer Stay in Business (SIB) and play a pivotal role in delivering sustaining capital projects that maintain upgrade and enhance our renewable energy and gas firming assets. Reporting to the SIB Project Manager youll work across the full project lifecycle from concept to close ensuring asset reliability efficiency and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards. This is a generalist engineering role with a strong focus on governance technical support and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Youll be part of a dynamic environment that values innovation continuous improvement and the integration of emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities Deliver SIB sustaining capital projects from concept through execution aligned with asset management strategies and governance standards. Develop and maintain governance tools and processes (stage-gate frameworks risk registers cost / schedule management lessons learned quality assurance). Prepare and present project status reports risks and outcomes to management and stakeholders. Identify and prioritise SIB project opportunities in collaboration with Engineering & Optimisation and Operations teams. Engage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including asset management operations design consultants contractors and regulatory bodies. Drive continuous improvement and integrate sustainability and AI best practices into project delivery. Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with engineering standards and project objectives. About You Minimum 5 years project experience ideally in renewable energy (wind experience highly valued); oil & gas mining or heavy industry experience also considered. Proven ability to deliver projects from concept to execution including governance and technical support. Strong understanding of asset performance optimisation and operational environments. Skilled in project management tools and systems (e.g. MS Project SAP) and methodologies (PMI Prince2 or similar). Excellent communication collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong problem-solving analytical thinking and process improvement mindset. Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Control Systems / Automation Renewable Energy or related discipline).
