The Case Manager role supports vulnerable children, young people, and families through intensive, culturally responsive casework that promotes safety, wellbeing, and stability. About the role As a Case Manager, you will provide intensive, high-quality case work that promotes safety, wellbeing, and stability. You will work closely with families to help children remain within or return to their families, while building collaborative relationships with Child Protection, The Orange Door, and other community agencies. Your role will involve thorough assessments, culturally responsive practice, and the delivery of services within a strengths-based framework guided by the Best Interests Case Practice Model and the Sanctuary Model. This is a dynamic position where you will contribute to team development, participate in reflective practice, and actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives. You will also have opportunities to facilitate group programs, represent MacKillop in community networks, and play a key role in shaping services that make a lasting difference. This is a full-time fixed term, 2 vacancies. Opportunity based in the West Metro region within our Family & Community Services Program. The position reports to the Coordinator Integrated Family Services Manager. Key Selection Criteria Tertiary level or diploma qualifications in Social Work, community services or a related discipline. Eligibility for membership of AASW is preferable however, not essential. Awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and families. Experience in casework and case management is desired. Sound knowledge of Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 and related policies. Capacity to engage and build rapport with vulnerable children, young people, and families. Understanding of issues that vulnerable families experience including family violence.
