Public Relations Coordinator We have a fantastic opportunity for a Public Relations Coordinator to join our Marketing Department on a 12-month fixed‑term full‑time contract. The successful candidate will assist with the implementation of the Club’s PR and communication strategies across major campaign periods, raceday calendar and non‑racing events. We are one of Australia's most prestigious sports, events and property development companies, operating elite horse racing at Caulfield, Sportsbet Sandown and Mornington Racecourses, and owning 15 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG). Responsibilities Support the PR manager across all proactive PR strategies. Develop and execute the 2026 Summer Autumn Carnival campaign and the 2026 Sportsbet Caulfield Cup Carnival campaign, including PR and content strategy. Co‑manage PR elements such as creating and distributing media materials, pitching, and executing media opportunities with local, national and racing‑specific media. Maintain effective relationships with Club ambassadors, talent, external stakeholders, sponsors and partners; coordinate PR opportunities and manage briefings. Ensure that partners, sponsors and stakeholder commitments are represented as agreed. Profile stories and people of racing in line with campaign periods and racedays to generate positive awareness. Report on PR performance to the marketing team and wider business as required. Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Professional Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role or a PR agency. Knowledge of key industry players, with a solid understanding of racing. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong interest in PR, with a deep understanding of the media landscape. Excellent organisational skills.
