Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Position Overview The Residential Care Officer provides high-quality care and support to residents in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. This role involves assisting individuals—such as older adults or people with disabilities—living in residential facilities to maintain their dignity, independence, and well‑being. Key Responsibilities Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Health & Safety Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional health; ensure compliance with safety standards. Medication Administration: Dispense prescribed medications accurately and maintain proper documentation. Emotional & Social Support: Foster a positive environment by encouraging social interaction and providing emotional support. Activity Engagement: Organize and participate in recreational and lifestyle activities to enhance residents’ quality of life. Care Planning: Assess residents’ needs and contribute to individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of care, incidents and progress reports. Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery. Compliance: Adhere to Sunhubs Care Services policies, aged‑care standards, and relevant legislation. Skills & Attributes Strong communication and interpersonal skills Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills Qualifications AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent Experience in disability or aged‑care support preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Current registration (e.g., First Aid, CPR and relevant clearances) First Aid, CPR, and relevant clearances are required. Work Right: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder. Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be preferred.
