Currently we are seeking a 4+ PAE Associate to join our Brisbane team. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer with a passion for casualty claims and a solid background in defendant‑side insurance matters , particularly public liability . You’ll be part of a collaborative and high‑performing team, working closely with senior practitioners on complex and high‑value matters. We offer a supportive environment for career development, with clear pathways to senior roles and opportunities to deepen your expertise in insurance litigation. Who are you? Around 4+ years' post admission experience in insurance matters Strong knowledge and experience in litigation and insurance law, with exposure to casualty claims and defendant‑side work. Previous experience in acting for insurers, underwriters, and self‑insureds in defending claims across various jurisdictions. Ability to manage client expectations, advise in policy coverage, liability and quantum and complex issues with a practical and client‑focused approach. Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously. A clear and concise communication style. A commercial approach and ability to articulate and negotiate effectively. Coaching and mentoring of junior lawyers. Strong interest in taking your career to the next level. A team player who can collaborate on work.
