Oral Health Therapist or Hygienist - New graduates welcome About the role New grads welcome We are seeking an OHT or Hygienist to join our friendly and welcoming team in Canberra. In this part‑time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive oral health care to our patients, helping them maintain optimal dental health and hygiene. Our practice is newly renovated and our beautiful natural light‑filled rooms make a positive working environment with a young team to support you. What you'll be doing Working to the full extent of your scope as an OHT or Hygienist Performing routine dental cleanings and scaling to remove plaque, tartar and stains from teeth Working with visiting colleagues on the supportive management of periodontal disease Applying sealants and fluoride treatments to protect teeth Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and advising them on strategies to improve their dental health Taking dental x‑rays and other diagnostic images as required Assisting the dentist with various procedures as needed Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation Adhering to all health, safety and infection control standards What we're looking for Strong communication and patient education skills, with the ability to explain complex dental procedures in a clear and empathetic manner Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to providing high‑quality patient care Proficient in the use of dental equipment and technology Ability to work collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team What we offer We are committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment for our team.
