The Role This is a great opportunity for an experienced, detail orientated Accounts Payable professional to join Gippsland’s leading training provider. The Finance Officer - Accounts Payable provides support and advice to TAFE Gippsland staff and external vendors and suppliers regarding all accounts payable related matters, ensuring all transactions are fulfilled according to defined TAFE Gippsland standards, established processes and legislative requirements. Responsible for managing payments and expense control through accurate invoice processing, verification, and reconciliation, while ensuring timely disbursements and adherence to internal control standards. About You You bring demonstrated experience in accounts payable and a sound understanding of finance-related policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You are confident managing a diverse portfolio of responsibilities with accuracy, efficiency, and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Your proactive approach and collaborative mindset make you a valued team member. You communicate effectively and build strong working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders across the organisation. You are also committed to continuous improvement, actively seeking opportunities to streamline processes and enhance operational effectiveness. Technically proficient, you are comfortable working with financial systems, databases, and spreadsheets, and apply a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of your work.
