Head, National Regulators Community of Practice At Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) , we strengthen public leadership across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. We’re seeking a Head of the National Regulators Community of Practice to lead a range of innovative activities designed to engage and connect practitioners and support ANZSOG’s owner governments solve a range of contemporary, complex and challenging issues in regulation. About the National Regulators Community of Practice (NRCoP) The NRCoP is an active network of regulators from all levels of government in Australia, and from every regulatory sector, professional background, role and level of seniority, who are keen to learn from and with one another. Its mission is to support participants and agencies to become more professional and capable regulators and to promote the public value and importance of effective regulation as a key function of government. The NRCoP connects a community of more than 7000 regulatory practitioners to a range of online and in‑person learning, resources, a biennial national conference and active chapters in every jurisdiction in Australia. In partnership with ANU, NRCoP runs The Professional Regulator program, which has provided professional development to more than 2000 regulators. The NRCoP is a community facilitated by ANZSOG and overseen by a volunteer National Steering Committee, led by a Chair. It has a corporate membership model and is financially supported by more than 100 government departments and regulatory agencies across Australia. The role: As Head, NRCoP, you will cultivate influential relationships with key stakeholders, design and deliver engaging learning experiences, and champion a dynamic digital presence. You’ll oversee strategic partnerships while strengthening governance and operational excellence across national and chapter committees. This is your opportunity to amplify the NRCoP’s impact, foster collaboration with ANZSOG and the wider academic community, and integrate best practice across Australasia. You’ll bring experience in regulatory leadership, strategic foresight, and a proven record in stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
