Senior Verification and Validation Engineer The Senior Verification and Validation Engineer is responsible for the independent management and execution of V&V activities across HDAs business units. The V&V Engineer ensures that V&V activities are planned, resourced and executed to meet the objectives of the business units. The Senior V&V Engineer will work with other Engineering and Technical teams as well as other HDA functions to ensure that V&V activities are successful. Primary Duties Ensure all V&V activities are planned in sufficient detail to enable success. Write and/or review V&V CDRLs for on time delivery to the customer (including V&VP, VCRM, ATPROCs, ATRs). Provide V&V input into other project deliverables. Lead Test Readiness Reviews with the customer for V&V events. Ensure the on-time execution of all V&V activities. Lead V&V activities with the customer. Work with the broader engineering and project team to rectify any failures during V&V activities in a timely manner. Ensure System Safety and safe engineering work practices are paramount and implemented for V&V activities. Working with both internal and external stakeholders, to deliver V&V outcomes for Hanwha and its customers. Ensures V&V activities are completed within agreed schedules and budgets. Other duties as required by the supervisor. Note: The Senior V&V Engineer will be required to travel to subcontractor and test locations which may be within Victoria, Interstate and Internationally. Qualifications Mandatory: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Science discipline. Qualifications in Verification and Validation. Meets Engineers Australia criteria for Chartered Professional Engineer. Experience Professional experience in V&V activities, desirable in the defence industry delivering complex large-scale programs. Knowledge with military standards and regulations related to vehicle development is desirable. Skills and Key Attributes Strong knowledge of V&V principles, methodologies, and best practices. Proficiency in system requirements analysis, test design, test execution, and test reporting. Proven ability to effectively manage relationships and positively resolve disputes with internal/external stakeholders. Meticulous approach to work, with the ability to identify potential risks and issues proactively. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under tight deadlines without compromising quality. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Demonstrates adaptability and can be flexible to meet the needs of the organisation and other team members. Flexible and adaptability, as you'll be expected to quickly pivot and respond to changing priorities and dynamic work environments.
