As a versatile and skilled maintenance handyperson, with an eye for detail and a passion for excellence, you will: Execute general maintenance and repairs across guest rooms and public areas, including minor carpet repairs, unblocking sink and floor waste blockages, changing light bulbs, fixing tiles, and tuning televisions. Utilize strong time management and prioritization skills to address and complete daily maintenance tasks, escalating complex issues as necessary. Identify, rectify, and document maintenance issues during routine inspections, ensuring that all concerns are addressed promptly. Coordinate with contractors and assist tradesmen as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organization of plant rooms and equipment. Maintain high standards of health and safety, reporting hazards promptly and adhering to all relevant procedures and policies. Source minor quotations for repairs, submit them for approval, and provide clear, concise communication during shift handovers. More about you An appropriate Industry Trade Qualification is essential, with Occupational Health & Safety qualifications and a Testing & Tagging licence being advantageous. Ideally, you will have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within a luxury property. Expertise in developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies and cost-efficient solutions.
