Salary of $3,747.20 gross per fortnight + super Bring your leadership, planning and turf management expertise to one of the largest regional Councils in New South Wales We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor Sportsgrounds to lead the planning, coordination and delivery of high-quality sportsground maintenance and presentation across the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area. Permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week) Commencing salary of $3,747.20 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $4,496.64 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%). Your new role In this dynamic leadership role, you will oversee the establishment, maintenance and improvement of Council's sportsgrounds, ensuring facilities are safe, functional, and presented to a high standard for the community and sporting organisations. You'll also assist with the broader planning and delivery of Council's sport and recreation programs, providing both strategic input and hands‑on guidance to your team. Key responsibilities Coordinate the establishment and ongoing maintenance of all sportsgrounds across the Wagga Wagga LGA. Develop and implement maintenance schedules, environmental management plans, traffic control plans and safe work method statements. Prepare and monitor budgets, forward delivery plans and performance reports. Provide technical and strategic advice on sportsground management, construction, maintenance and repair. Engage and consult with community and sporting stakeholders to ensure facilities meet user needs. Manage customer service requests and ensure works are delivered in line with approved service levels. Undertake administrative and WHS‑related duties including site safety inductions, risk assessments, purchasing, timesheets, and reporting. What you will need to succeed Qualifications relevant to the role such as a Minimum Certificate III Horticulture / Green keeping / Agriculture. Class MR Driver's Licence. General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card). SafeWorkNSW Implement Traffic Control Plans (IMP). Proven experience supervising maintenance or operations within parks, open space or sportsground environments. Strong leadership and team coordination skills. Sound knowledge of turf and irrigation management, and an understanding of relevant WHS and environmental requirements. Strong time management, planning, financial and administrative skills.
